Spring has Sprung!

Or at least we hope it has! The ice and snow is retreating slowly but we will miss driving through those snow storms to fix those computers!

New spyware and viruses are making their rounds. Do please be careful in your online journeys. Some that can not be removed (currently) and require a data backup and windows re-installation. Only 1 customer so far has had this. As a note of caution, “free streaming movies” can be a big no-no. These sites will draw you in with the free movies and possibly leave you infected.

For premium anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions, give us a call!

As always, exercise caution on websites new to you.

HD Cables - What you should know.

Filed under: Announcements — admin at 4:55 pm on Sunday, November 11, 2007

With Christmas (and Boxing Day sales) drawing near, many of us will look to buy the latest in technology. Many of us have seen the transition to newer, thinner and bigger televisions. And with all of the new technology comes new ways to connect a video source to your tv. The newest being HDMI, which is quite nice as it is a single cable for video and audio.

Now, onto the next part. So you’ve bought a $1000+ tv at the local big electronics store. First thing the salesman is going to do is convince you that a $200 HDMI cable is going to be AMAZING for your picture.

FALSE FALSE FALSE !!

We tell you this because its true - a $40 (or less - depends on the length) HDMI cable will work PERFECTLY. We know because we’ve done it, and don’t just believe us. See for yourself the extreme testing others have done here:

Need help with that new surround sound setup? PC Rescue can help with that too! We know the ins and outs of inputs and outputs.

Not sure what to buy? Do you want to know the difference between LCD, LCD Projection, DLP Projection, LED Projection, Plasma and the tried and true CRT Rear Projection? Just ask us for a purchase consultation.

Whether your buying a TV or a PC, our customers have saved hundreds of dollars by consulting with us first on what they should buy!

And as always, Google for reviews of the products you are thinking of buying.
